NO!

A thousand petals
Wine and chocolates
Perfect!
Always perfect!
Perfect to me
Never perfect to you
A hundred proposals
And a hundred no’s
A thousand nights of tears
Heartbreaks and regrets
Tormented thoughts from all your no’s
Why “no”?
What’s wrong with me?
And once again
I try again
The perfect scene
A diamond ring
My charming smile
My special tux
And still you say no!
No?!
Give me a “yes”!
A “yes”…or something close to it
I crawl back into my hole
And swim in an abyss of tears
Anger
Rage
Hurt
Bitterness
The shackles that bind me
This has now become my mission
I no longer love you
I’m just…
I just…
And then it dawns on me
“I’m addicted!”
Addicted to your indifference
Addicted to your rejection
Addicted to your “no’s”
I’m an addict!
Lost in a cocoon of misery
A star-eyed lunatic
In search of a “yes”
From the lips of my tormentor
I no longer love you
What I feel is…
I…
Come on!
I need a “yes”!
Free me from this misery!
Just give me a “yes”!
Say yes!
Please say yes!

STRANGERS

When?
When did we throw caution to the wind?
Living life with no care
Unconcerned about the distance between us
The silence
Those conversations that should have happened
When?
When did we become strangers?

This was never the plan
It all started out so well
Now, its slowly becoming a distant memory
You seem to have moved on
Have you?
I cant tell
Cos you are now a stranger
Please, when did we become strangers?!!!

I still remember how hard I fell for you
How silly I acted around you
I would walk all night just to see you at dawn
So far away I lived from you
Yet, the distance didn’t really matter
The distance made me fight harder
So tell me
When did we become strangers?

 We both did wrong
We let the fire burn out
We got so comfortable
We no longer threw in the logs
We watched the fire die
Tolerating our flaws
But not really caring for each other anymore
Oh lordthats how we became strangers!

Here I am reminiscing
Waiting for you to come back to me
And there you are
Holding on to the ring of another
What can I do to win your heart again?
Tell me, Mi Amour
I can’t bear the “what ifs”
I can’t be a stranger anymore

Your Love

Take me to your secret place
Let me abide under your shadow
As I drink in your beauty
Shaken by your glory
I worship!
Intoxicated by this love
Sweet and filling
True and untainted
YOU!
You are love!
You are Lord!
I ponder on this love story
All I see is the cross
The nails
The pain
And then the glory
Oh, my best love story!
It might mean so little to some
But to me it means everything
You mean everything to me
Your love is unquestionable
Your love…like a soft blanket around me
Protecting me
Molding me
Keeping me warm
I yield to you
Freeing myself to be filled
To drown in this beautiful pool of perfection
Perfect love
I yield to you
Perfect you are
Perfect your love is
Your love
My perfect blanket

WHITE

Clothed in white
Not dead
Not in Heaven
Not even at my wedding
Far from it
All in white
Running down the hallway
Searching for the exit door
Overdosed on drugs
Staring at faces so unfamiliar
Laughter as loud as thunder
Insanity all around me
Running as fast as I can
Cages
Locked doors
Needles and insanity
Im running
Lost in a labyrinth
Searching for an exit door
The doctors chase me down the hallway
Like demons in a nightmare
They all look enraged and desperate
Yelling and cursing
Warning and screaming
I need a way out!!!
An open window!
A trapdoor!
Anything!
I need a way out!!!
The drugs begin to kick in
I cant feel my tongue anymore
My heart is racingpoundingfluttering
My legs betray me
My sight fails me
The hallway begins to morph
Im no longerI cant
The doctors now look like huge ugly insects
I fall on the ground
But it feels like a bed
Its soft
I close my eyes
Welcoming the soft clouds
Drifting off
Into my little world of beautiful insanity

HIDDEN FANGS

Web of sin
Web unseen
Evil done in the dark
Leaving hidden marks
Softly done
Guilt gone
Conscience sold
Truth untold
Things hidden in a closet
More awards to collect
No one needs to know
As long as it doesn’t show
Manipulating minds
A curtain they hide behind
Showing off artificial halos
Dangerous fellows!
They camouflage their horns
With pretty shiny crowns
They hide their fangs
Behind smiles and generous hands
But behind the closet doors
Lies a dungeon of horror
Truth unseen
So they continue to sin
Luring their prey
Serving promises with gold trays
They spin their webs
Catching millions in their web
With just one promise…fame!
A chance to be in the game
To run the world
And gain the world
Sugar on their lips
They roam the world
With hidden fangs
And generous hands

TORMENTED

He could hear them
They screamed his name
He shivered
He looked around
He saw no one
He could feel their presence
He could hear them
He cringed
One had a shrill voice
Two whispered
The others were deep groans
It sent shivers down his spine
His eyes were wide open
He looked around in horror
Why was he hearing them?
Where was it coming from?
Where were they hiding?
Why were they calling out his name?
Who were they?
He felt the warm liquid trickle down his legs
His own waste
What was happening to him?
Was it his past?
Was it his sins?
He killed her ten years ago
Why was he being tormented now?
No one knew
He told no one
Who were they?
He heard them chorus his name again
The voices were getting louder
He could feel the goose bumps on his skin
His heart was racing like a wild bull
Everything seemed surreal
But it was really happening!
He panicked
He shivered
He screamed
Hoping to drown their voices with his scream
Everything went quiet
And just when he thought it was over
He heard them again
Louder
And closer!
He looked around
And then he saw them
Right in front of him
He froze in fear
He could taste his own fear
It tasted sour and toxic
Immediately, he shut his eyes
And breathed his last
Welcoming death with a warm embrace
What a relief!
Or so he thought

THE CLOCK SPEAKS

A little love
A little care
A little food
A little of what you have
Just a little to quench this thirst
A little, my dear
I see you complain of that which you have
I hear you complain that it’s not exactly what you want
If only I could have just a little
If only I could sip a little
To quench this thirst
If only I could nibble a little
And quench this probing hunger
If only I could rest a little
Under the mango tree you care not for
If only I could lie down a little
On that bed you hate so dearly
If only I could laugh a little
At the jokes you no longer find funny
If only I could live a little
This life you take for granted
And maybe enjoy a little of this health you don’t even notice you have
Good health I do seek for
To have a little of what you have
To sit under the roof of this house you no longer desire
To hear your little ones babble and laugh
This you no longer have time for
I hear them ask for you every day
But you are never around
If only you could see
Truly open your eyes
And notice how fast the clock ticks
Not slow
Fast!
Every second you lament
You lose a moment
A moment you shouldn’t have lost
You lose a moment to give thanks
A moment to laugh a little
A moment to live a little
If only you can hear the clock
Truly hear the clock tell the time
Oh, it speaks!
Tick-tock. . .tick-tock
Time goes. . . Time goes
Open your eyes, precious one
See how fast the clock ticks
It speaks!
Smile more
Love more
Laugh more
Live more
Love some more
Live some more
Tick-tock. . .tick-tock
